Labor Day is slowly starting to wind down. However, there’s some good news. Most — although not all — of today’s deals will still be available throughout the week. So make sure to follow our Labor Day sales guide over the next few days for the best remaining deals.

Additionally, rumors indicate that a second Prime Day event could happen later this fall. Amazon has yet to confirm anything, but keep your eyes peeled for a possible Prime Day deux. In the meantime, here’s one parting deal. Amazon has select gaming PCs on sale from $669. The sale is perfect for any last-minute back to school shopping and includes rigs from $669.

Cocoon by Sealy Hybrid mattress product shot with two pillows

Fall starts on September 22. However, there are still a few warm nights left in the season. If you’re looking for a new bed that’ll keep you cool at night, the Cocoon Chill by Sealy is our top pick. While plenty of today’s mattresses promote air flow while you sleep, Cocoon’s mattress did the best job. In our Cocoon Chill mattress review, we called it the best mattress for hot sleepers on a budget.

Here’s a little secret — while most people tend to think the AirPods are Apple’s go-to workout headphones, the truth is that the Beats Fit Pro are Apple’s best workout buds. In our Beats Fit Pro review, we said that sound is better on these sporty in-ear buds than in any AirPods model. Now….take note that the AirPods Pro 2 could be announced this Wednesday (and AirPods Pro 2 preorders could begin as early as this Friday). But if that doesn’t bother you — you can’t go wrong with the Beats Fit Pro. Even better, Amazon has multiple Beats buds on sale for Labor Day from $49.

Pixel 6a deals

The Pixel 6a is one of the best Android phones you can get. If you’re looking for a phone that offers plenty of horsepower and excellent value — the buck stops here. Currently, you can get the phone for free at Verizon with select 5G unlimited plans. It features a 6.1-inch OLED 1080 x 2400 display, Google Tensor CPU, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. You also get 12.2MP main (f/1.7) and 12.2MP (f/2.2) ultrawide rear cameras accompanied by a 8MP (f/2.0) front camera.

Apple MacBook Pro

If there’s only one sale I could highlight today — this would be it. Best Buy is taking from $350 to $400 off select MacBook Pros. You can get the 13-inch MacBook Pro M1 for $949 ($350 off), the 14-inch MacBook Pro for $1,599 ($400 off), or the 16-inch MacBook Pro for $2,099 ($400 off). These are the lowest price I’ve seen so far on these MacBooks and the lowest price ever ($949) for any Apple silicon-based MacBook Pro. I’ll be honest, I don’t think we’ll see these prices again all year (not even on Cyber Monday).

Also, heads up — certain states (such as NJ) are offering tax-free back to school shopping, so you’ll pay no taxes on your purchase. You can check out the full tax holiday schedule at (opens in new tab). The Best Buy sale ends today.

Hisense U8H mini LED TV with a Tom's Guide deal tag

There are plenty of really great TV deals this Labor Day. However, the one that’s caught my eye the most is this one from Amazon. If you’re not familiar with the Hisense U8H, all you need to know is that we named it the best value TV for 2022. It offers a Mini-LED panel, Dolby Atmos sound with built-in its 2.1.2 audio system, and a native 120Hz refresh rate. It’s further proof that you don’t have to overpay to have the best tech in your TV.

TRX Fit System Suspension Trainer

I love using TRX straps during my workout. They’re great for stretching post-workout and I like using them for full-body workouts as well. You can target your abs, back, chest, or whatever body part you want to tone/strengthen. (You’re using your own body weight most of the time, which is more than enough for a full workout). Today only, they’re on sale at REI for just $74. This set comes with a door anchor and suspension anchor so you can use it at home.

Nespresso Vertuo Next deal

When I want fast and strong coffee — nothing beats my Nespresso machine. For a limited time, Amazon has the Nespresso Vertuo Next on sale for $149. It uses the same premium brewing techniques as the popular Vertuo Plus machine, but packs a much smaller form factor. It’s perfect if you want a convenient pod-based machine that won’t take up your entire countertop. This model holds a spot on our best Nespresso machine guide.

Bowflex SelectTech 552 Adjustable Dumbbell

Amazon is offering an epic deal on select Bowflex and Schwinn exercise equipment today. The sale includes treadmills, adjustable dumbbells, kettlebells, benches, and more. If you have the space for a full home gym, you ca get the Bowflex Blaze Home Gym for just $799 (was $1,099). If you live in an apartment, the Bowflex SelectTech 552 Adjustable Dumbbells are on sale for $379 (was $549).

Nectar duvet

Labor Day is the perfect time to upgrade your bed. Practically all mattress manufacturers are offering deals on beds, duvets, mattress toppers, pillows, and all things bedroom related. One of my favorite deals this afternoon comes from Nectar. They have their Nectar Down Alternative duvet on sale for $94. I bought it a few years ago and find it’s perfect for keeping me cool in the summer and warm during the winter. I’m pretty sure this is the cheapest it’s ever been price-wise. (For more bedding deals, check out our roundup of the best Labor Day mattress sales).

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to pick up a new smartwatch, Best Buy has a pretty epic deal right now. Buy a Galaxy Watch 5 or Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and you’ll get a free $40 or $60 Best Buy gift card, respectively. In our Galaxy Watch 5 review, we called it the best Samsung smartwatch to date. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is great if you want extra battery life. (It’s rated for 80 hours, but we got 3 full days with regular use).

Nike sports bra

With summer winding down, now is a good time to start looking at your fall/winter wardrobe. Nike, for example, is offering up to 50% off select apparel. If you become a Nike member (it’s free to join), you can then use coupon code “SUMMER20” to take an extra 20% off select clothes. (For more ways to save, make sure to check out our guide to Nike promo codes).

Sony PS5 restock

Ok, this isn’t a Labor Day sale per se, but just a heads up that Walmart has stock of the PS5 with Horizon Forbidden West. PS5 restock has gotten a little easier to find these days, although there are still a few console droughts from time to time. That said, you can pick up this bundle for list price today. Best part is you don’t have to request an invite to purchase the console like most retailers require nowadays!

Samsung appliances

Happy Labor Day, shoppers! Deals editor Louis here taking over the live blog for the day. September 5th is an excellent time to shop for new appliances. Whether you’re looking for a new fridge, microwave, washer/dryer — you name it. Practically every major retailer is discounting its selection of appliances. One of the biggest sales I’ve seen this morning comes from Samsung. Their appliances are generally priced higher than competitors, but right now Samsung is taking up to $1,200 off all appliances including refrigerators, ranges, washer/dryer sets, and vacuums. If you buy a bundle, you’ll also get an extra $100 off.

Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop on a red background with the "Tom's Guide Killer Deal" tag overlaid

Fancy a gaming laptop? Check out the Acer Nitro 5. It’s already relatively affordable at its usual asking price of $839, but Amazon have the Acer Nitro 5 (i5/RTX 3050) for $649 (opens in new tab).

It doesn’t have the specs to run graphically-intensive games at high settings, but that’s a lot to ask of a gaming laptop that costs below $1000. The Intel Core i5 processor and RTX 3050 GPU Acer Nitro 5 are more than enough to run popular games like Assasins Creed Valhalla or Grand Theft Auto V at medium settings.

If you have a little more to spend, you could upgrade to the Acer Nitro 5 (i7/RTX 3050 Ti) (opens in new tab) for $789 for some improved performance.

A hands-on photo of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

If you’re shopping for a new phone this Labor Day, look no further than this live blog. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is $200 cheaper than usual at Amazon (opens in new tab) for the holiday.

If you’re on team Android, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is our choice for the best phone you can get right now. It has the best display of any phone we’ve tested. Plus, the cameras are excellent, especially in low light. The phone even comes with the S-Pen included for smooth note-taking and drawing.

The one drawback of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is its 10-hour battery life. For comparison, the iPhone 13 Pro Max lasted more than 12 hours in our testing. But keep in mind that 10 hours of juice is enough to get most people through the day without needing to carry a charger around.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: $1,199 $995 @ Amazon (opens in new tab)

A photo of the Apple TV 4K streaming device on a table

Let’s be honest — the Apple TV 4K is an excellent streaming device, but it’s a little expensive. At a retail price of $179, it costs over three times as much as some other popular streaming sticks like the $49 Roku Streaming Stick 4K.

However, for Labor Day, the Apple TV 4K has seen a big discount at Amazon, bringing it down to a much less eye-boggling $119. The device has excellent streaming performance, a good remote, and its interface doesn’t throw as many ads in your face as Roku or Amazon streaming devices do.

an image showing an Elden Ring deal

It’s hard not to flag this $10 discount on Elden Ring for PS5 at Amazon (opens in new tab). The tough-as-nails RPG is easily one of the best games of the year so far, and dominated the gaming conversation for weeks when it launched back in February.

From the creators of Dark Souls and Bloodborne and with story assistance from George R. R. Martin, the author of Game of Thrones, Elden Ring offers a cryptic narrative set in an expansion open-world with danger lurking behind every corner. It’s undoubtedly a very difficult game but it’s also one that you won’t want to stop playing. It was easy to recommend at full price, now at $10 off, there’s no excuse not to dive into Elden Ring. Just prepare to die, a lot.

Elden Ring (PS5): $59 $49 @ Amazon (opens in new tab)

Pioneer 50" 4K Fire TV on a purple background with the Tom's Guide killer deals tag overlaid

The best Labor Day deals aren’t just about saving money, the annual holiday also offer the chance to score some excellent freebies with purchase. Case in point, Amazon is offering a free Echo Dot (3rd Gen) when you buy a Fire TV (opens in new tab)

Fire TVs start from just $89, with a 50-inch 4K model (opens in new tab) available for just $299 (down from $429). An Echo Dot (3rd Gen) (opens in new tab) usually retails for $39, but has been discounted for Labor Day to $29. It’s a nifty little freebie, especially if you were already in the market for a brand new TV.

The Nectar Premier Copper Mattress shown against a red wall

Our favorite budget mattress is on sale for Labor Day. Nectar is taking $200 off mattresses of any size (opens in new tab). And if that wasn’t enough of a deal, you also get a free bedding set worth $499 with any mattress purchase.

The Editor’s Choice Nectar Memory Foam mattress offers tremendous value for the money and holds a spot in our best mattress guide. In our Nectar Memory Foam mattress review, we found that it’s very comfortable (thanks to its five layers of memory foam) and it offers excellent pressure relief around your shoulders, hips, and back. Bonus points for offering an impressive 365-night trial and a forever guarantee.

As part of its current Labor Day sale — you can get the twin mattress for $399 (was $798) or the queen for $799 (was $1,298).

iPad deal

One of the most popular early Labor Day deals is still running, and it’s continuing to us impress us even now.

The iPad 10.3-inch 2021 64GB is just $279 at Amazon (opens in new tab). That’s $50 off and the lowest price we’ve ever seen for Apple’s popular tablet. Best Buy (opens in new tab) is also offering the same price.

We rate the 10.2″ iPad as the best tablet for people on a budget. That’s because of its excellent screen, cameras, and 11-hour battery life. In our iPad 10.2 review, we were also impressed by this tablet’s performance thanks to its new A13 Bionic chip. It’s perfect for browsing, streaming, and gaming, and you’ll be able multitask and switch between apps in a flash.

10.2″ iPad (64GB/2021): $329 $279 @ Amazon (opens in new tab)

Anker Eufy 25C robot vacuum with a Tom's Guide deal tag

One of the biggest discounts we’ve seen of Labor Day so far comes courtesy of Walmart. The retailer has slashed this Anker Robot Vacuum by $120. Right now, the Anker Eufy 25C Robot Vacuum is on sale for $129 at Walmart (opens in new tab). That’s a massive saving compared to its regular price of $249.

While the Eufy 25C doesn’t have mapping capabilities like some more pricey alternatives, it can still be controlled from your smartphone and linked to other Eufy smart home devices. You can also connect it to Alexa and Google Assistant, and use those smart assistants to tell the 25C to start cleaning.

The Eufy 25C isn’t the most powerful vac on the market, but it’s more affordable price tag makes it a great pick as a first robot vacuum. This Labor Day sale isn’t quite it’s all time low price, but it’s still an excellent discount.

Anker Eufy 25C: $249 $129 @ Walmart (opens in new tab)

Apple Watch 7 deal

The always-popular Apple Watch 7 is currently on sale for Labor Day, making now the ideal time to upgrade your smartwatch, or jump into the world of wearables for the first time.

Right now, the Apple Watch 7 (GPS/41mm) is on sale for $299 at Amazon (opens in new tab). This is the best smartwatch you can buy if you’re an iOS user. Compared to the previous Apple Watch, the Apple Watch 7 offers a larger display, brighter screen, and faster charging. It’s also the first Apple Watch to have a full QWERTY keyboard, which is super useful for quickly sending texts from your wrist.

It’s also the perfect fitness accessory, especially if you also sign up for the optional Apple Fitness Plus service. The main drawback of this smartwatch is the 18-hour battery life, which is less than half of its main rival the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. But so long as you charge it regularly, it’s far from a deal breaker.

Apple Watch 7 (GPS/41mm): $399 $299 @ Amazon (opens in new tab)

It wouldn’t be a holiday weekend without sizeable savings on top-quality TVs, and while there are dozens of excellent discounts on a range of fantastic televisions, our top pick is the LG A1 OLED TV.

For a limited time, the LG A1 55″ 4K OLED TV is $965 at Amazon (opens in new tab). That’s a saving of 26% compared to its regular price of $1,299, and is definitely one of the best Labor Day TV sales we’ve spotted so far.

We rank the LG A1 OLED as one of the the best OLED TVs you can buy. It packs LG’s powerful Alpha 7 Gen 4 processor and 4K resolution, HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision support, while running on LG’s webOS 6.0 Smart TV software. This particular model packs a rich 55-inch 4K Ultra HD display with an OLED panel and has a refresh rate of 60Hz.

The MacBook Pro 2021 (14-inch)

Welcome to Tom’s Guide’s Labor Day live blog! Here we’ll be covering all the biggest discounts and best deals throughout the entire day. So, let’s start with am all-time low price on the 2021 MacBook Pro.

The powerhouse MacBook Pro 14″ is on sale for $1,599 at Best Buy (opens in new tab). That’s a $400 saving compared to its full retail price of $1,999. This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen for this laptop, and it’s a Labor Day deal that is hard to resist.

In our Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch (2021) review, we were seriously impressed by what this device had to offer. It has pretty much everything you could want in a laptop; including incredible performance, a beautiful display and battery life that lasted over 14 hours in our tests.
